Driven by her aspiration of multicultural and multilingual academic experience, Yahang boldly flew herself from China to the States to pursue a college degree as a proud Spartan. After graduation, Yahang joined a leading market research company in Michigan and gained solid project management experience through leading multiple research projects with a specialty in the automotive industry. An opportunity opened up later for Yahang to join the efforts of the Michigan-China Innovation Center, a state-funded non-profit organization with a mission of creating jobs in Michigan by strengthening the bilateral relationship and enhancing the investment environment between Michigan and China. Yahang has always been actively involved in the Asian American business community through various organizations such as Detroit China Business Association and NAAAP-Detroit. In her spare time, Yahang is dedicated to practicing meditation and taking care of her 60+ indoor plants (and growing).
