Asim Alavi is NAAAP Detroit’s Chapter President for the 2020 – 2022 term where he oversees the chapter’s various teams and operations. Asim is a Commissioner of Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commussion (MAPAAC) appointed by the Governor of Michigan. MAPAAC’s vision is to advance the full and qual participation of Asian Pacific American’s in the building of a greater Michigan.

Asim is also on the Board of Directors for Mai Family Services. MFS fights against Domestic Violence (DV) and Mental Health issues through community outreach and education programs in addition to offering confidential counseling.

Asim is the Director of Technology for AT&T where has a proven track record of leading AT&T teams on Fortune-500 outsourcing engagements.
