Tom is the Program Director of the MS Global Fashion Enterprise Program at the Kanbar College of Design, Engineering and Commerce at Philadelphia University. His teaching assignments include global supply chain management, and leading study abroad programs to tour textile & apparel factories in China.

Tom developed a plethora of eclectic interests over 29 years working in the consumer packaged goods industry. Travel is perhaps part of his DNA, as international assignments with Campbell Soup Company had taken him to Europe and Asia. Formerly, as Director of Operations for North American Foodservice Division, Tom managed all aspects of the supply chain, with direct impact to profit and loss. His corporate experience ranged from engineering, packaging, and operations management to strategic planning. He was a key liaison between product development and marketing, overseeing 30 manufacturing plants, supporting commercialization, business continuity planning, capital budgeting, logistics, technology assessment, and lean manufacturing practices.

Tom has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; MBA from Temple Fox School of Business, and MS in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the Temple University CIBER (Center for International Business Education & Research) Advisory Board (http://www.fox.temple.edu/ciber/board.htm) since 2003.
Tom’s vision for NAAAP Philadelphia is promoting inclusion and innovation. Inclusion is not the mother of invention, but rather the catalyst for innovations; diversity is a fundamental business strategy. Innovation is a process that involves teamwork and continuous collaboration through social interactions. The more diverse of a team being built, the higher the probability of success. NAAAP Philadelphia can provide such a platform for all us to grow, both professionally and interpersonally. “None of us is as smart as all of us.”
