December 1, 2017: Inaugural Annual Meeting Marks a Milestone for NAAAP Detroit

The National Association of Asian American Professional Detroit Chapter (NAAAP Detroit) held its Inaugural Annual Meeting on December 1 at the Vista Tech Center of Schoolcraft College.  State Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood and South Korea Honorary Consulate in Detroit David Roden provided opening remarks and noted the accomplishments made by NAAAP Detroit Chapter on cultivating Asian American leaders in the Great Detroit….

April 22, 2017: NAAAP Detroit and Young Professionals Network: Immigration Seminar

National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Detroit Chapter will collaborate with the Young Professionals Network (YPN) to host the Immigration Seminar on April 22, 3pm through 5pm, at the Fuji Buffet at 32153 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071.  The Immigration Seminar is set up for young professionals to understand the most recent immigration policies and processes.  NAAAP Detroit Chapter encourages members and friends to join the event….

The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Detroit Chapter is proud to collaborate with the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (MAPAAC), Arab American Civil Rights League (ACRL) and Oakland Community College (OCC) Royal Oak Campus to highlight and discuss the impact of a Muslim Registry, brought up by Carl Higbie, Chair and Spokesperson for the Great America PAC for Trump in November 2016 during the campaign.  Mr. Higbie stated the precedence has been set by the Registry of Japanese-Americans during WWII…

October 28, 2016: Inaugural Gala Marks a Defining Moment for NAAAP Detroit

Inaugural Gala on October 28, 2016: The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) celebrated the establishment of its Detroit Chapter with an Inaugural Gala held at the Edward Village Hotel and Convention Center, which drew a capacity crowd of nearly 400 attendees.  The generous financial sponsorship support from General Motors, Edward Village Hotel & Convention Center, ACRO Services, Chrysan Industries Inc., Mobis North America, and numerous business and institutions were instrumental to making this Gala event possible…

Inaugural Greater Detroit AsiaFest on July 14, 2016: The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) collaborated with Council of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) to host the inaugural Greater Detroit AsiaFest.  Over 1100 metro Detroiters representing a diverse cross section of ethnic backgrounds gathered at the Royal Oak Farmers Market in downtown Royal Oak for the debut of the Greater Detroit AsiaFest…
