NAAAP Detroit Chapter President

Coco Zhang-Miske (Founder and President)

Welcome to the exciting year of the Fire Rooster from the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) – Detroit Chapter!!!

As we begin 2017, I’d like to wish all our members, nonprofit partners, sponsors and friends a Happy and Blessed Year of the Rooster! A lot of great things happened in 2016 and the most important success for NAAAP Detroit was, you! We are pleased to welcome you as our valuable members of NAAAP Detroit Chapter, one of the most premier leadership organizations for Asian professionals in the state.

NAAAP Detroit provides opportunities for all Asian professionals to contribute to our community, to work and grow together – engineers, lawyers, financiers, politicians, doctors, musicians, artists, researchers, teachers, professors, and professionals from many fields. We provide a special platform to grow in our professional lives, to overcome stereotypes, to break the glass or bamboo ceiling, to improve our professional skills, and to advance in our careers. This is truly the spirit and essence of NAAAP: a unique and high-caliber organization of professionals, ran by professionals, and for professionals.

We are very excited about 2017! Our board members are energetic, smart, hard-working, and devoted to NAAAP Detroit. We are guided by the strategic plan we recently developed at our first NAAAP-D Retreat, which ensures that our initiatives and decisions are consistent with our core values. Many exciting programs, events and activities will be announced via our communication channels shortly. Events including a Professional Series, Career Session Opportunities, Young Professional Programs, and Collaboration Events with other institutes, corporation, agencies and organizations.

We Thank You, and Welcome You to be part of the NAAAP Detroit Family! And we look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events!
