Betty Chu, MD, MBA
Henry Ford Health System, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital
Betty Chu, MD, MBA, leads the medical staff of the hospital, providing leadership to assure effective and efficient delivery of care, consistent with the patient-centered mission of Henry Ford Health System. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she is responsible for corporate strategy design and implementation with regard to clinical operations.
Her numerous recognitions include Crain’s Detroit Business “40 Under 40” in 2010 and an Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce Professional Leadership Award.
She is a member of the board of directors of the Michigan State Medical Society, Walsh College of Business, and the Area Agency on Aging 1B. She also serves on the Michigan delegation to the American Medical Association.
She is the former president of the Medical Staff, Beaumont Hospital, Troy, and a former board member of Beaumont Health System.
Dr. Chu graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, and received her MBA from the University of Michigan Ross Business School.
