NAAAP Detroit Held 2018 Annual Meeting and Member Mixer
National Association of Asian American Professionals-Detroit Chapter (NAAAP Detroit) held its 2018 Annual Membership meeting on December 15, 2018 at Altair Engineering, Inc. Headquarters. The meeting comprised two portions: Business Meeting and Member Mixer. Four new board members were voted in and approved: Asim Alavi, Vice President; Daniela Buccaran, Secretary; Sharon Dow, Communication Committee Chair; Ann Hong, Membership Committee Chair. NAAAP Detroit Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration Blast!
On May 14, 2017, National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Detroit Chapter, collaborated with the Detroit Institute of Arts’ (DIA) auxiliary group Friends of Asian Arts and Cultures (FAAC) to celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by connecting our community with an afternoon of live performance, workshop and Formosa Circus Art’s (FOCA) fun! This inspiring event included the unforgettable FOCA performance and workshop at 2:30pm, and a VIP Reception at 3:30pm. The performance and workshop were open to the public, with general admission to the museum. It attracted large crowds of the community, including friends from Metro Detroit to the Rivera Court at DIA. The FOCA performance on May 14th successfully offered a specialized arts professionalism platform for both NAAAP Detroit and the DIA to connect with our community.
